notes: | the andromeda galaxy. this one turned out pretty good i think. i stacked 35 thirty second exposures at iso 400. all frames stacked in registax 2. then i enhanced color and contrast in photoshop. |

notes: | the andromeda galaxy and surrounding parts. the first image was taken with the canon and the 85mm f/1.8 lens mounted on the gpdx. exposure time 30 secs, iso 400. the approximate diagonal size is 18 degrees. the second image was taken with the canon mounted in the vixen's prime focus. 30 seconds exposure time at iso 400. only the third image on the first row has been enhanced in any way. The images marked XL are very large (3072x2048 pixels) |

notes: | The two open clusters ngc 884 and ngc 869. They are located just below cassiopeia, and easily visible with the naked eye on a good night. |

notes: | m42. fuji iso 400 dias film. the "blue" sky has been subtracted using photoshop. this is by far a new record for me and m42: focus is ok, and the polar alignment seems to be perfect. |
